Maps

Reinforce Tactics features a variety of maps designed for different game modes and player counts. Each map offers unique strategic challenges through terrain layout, building placement, and chokepoints.

Map Legend

  • Green - Plains (walkable terrain)
  • Dark Green - Forest (provides defense bonus)
  • Blue - Water/Ocean (impassable)
  • Gray - Mountains (impassable, provides attack bonus when adjacent)
  • Brown - Roads (faster movement)
  • Red - Player 1 structures
  • Blue Tint - Player 2 structures
  • Green Tint - Player 3 structures
  • White/Light Gray - Neutral Towers/Buildings

1v1 Maps

Two-player head-to-head maps ranging from small beginner-friendly arenas to complex strategic battlefields.

Beginner Map

Beginner

6x6 | 2 Players

A small, simple map perfect for learning the game. Symmetric layout with central towers creates straightforward tactical decisions. Quick matches ideal for new players.

Funnel Point Map

Funnel Point

13x11 | 2 Players

Mountains create natural chokepoints that funnel combat into the central plains. Control the narrow passages to dominate the battlefield. Ocean barriers prevent flanking maneuvers.

Center Mountains Map

Center Mountains

18x18 | 2 Players

A large map with mountain ranges creating multiple attack routes. Road networks enable rapid troop movement. Forest patches provide defensive positions for ambushes.

Corner Points Map

12x10 | 2 Players

Players start in opposite corners with valuable buildings spread across the map. Forest and mountain terrain creates varied combat zones. Ocean barriers define the playing field.

Crossroads Map

15x15 | 2 Players

An asymmetric but balanced map. Player 1 starts in mountain fortress, Player 2 on a water-protected peninsula. Road network connects through contested central crossroads.

Island Fortress Map

Water channels divide the battlefield into connected islands. Control the central waterways to dominate. Multiple towers spread across islands reward aggressive expansion.

The Narrows Map

The Narrows

Mountain-dominated map with narrow passages connecting bases. Road networks are essential for movement. Controlling the limited walkable terrain is key to victory.

Tower Rush Map

Tower Rush

14x14 | 2 Players

Tower-dense map rewarding aggressive expansion. Numerous neutral towers and buildings create an economic race. Fast capture strategies dominate on this map.

Difficult Terrain Map

A challenging map with varied terrain limiting movement options. Water, mountains, and forests create a complex puzzle. Careful pathfinding is essential.

Demo Map Editor Map

25x25 | 2 Players

The largest 1v1 map featuring ocean borders and extensive terrain variety. Created to showcase the map editor's capabilities. Long matches with strategic depth.


1v1v1 Maps

Three-player free-for-all maps designed for chaotic and competitive multiplayer. Balance aggression against multiple opponents while avoiding becoming the common target.

Triangle Arena Map

Triangle Arena

18x18 | 3 Players

Classic triangular layout with players at three corners. Water barriers at edges create the arena shape. Central road network forms a contested diamond for rapid movement between opponents.

Three Islands Map

Three Islands

20x19 | 3 Players

Three distinct islands separated by water channels. Each player controls one island with narrow land bridges connecting through a central contested island. Control the bridges to isolate opponents.

The Trident Map

The Trident

18x18 | 3 Players

Three peninsulas extending toward the center like a trident. Water divides create natural defensive lanes. Roads converge at a heavily fortified central crossroads where all three paths meet.

Disputed Crossroads Map

17x17 | 3 Players

Y-shaped road network with players controlling each branch. Mountains at top create corridors, water lake at bottom forces southern players through center. Road control is essential for rapid response.


2v2 Maps

Team-based maps designed for cooperative play. Coordinate with your ally to outmaneuver the enemy team.

2v2 Beginner Map

Beginner (2v2)

6x6 | 4 Players (2 Teams)

Compact team map with allies positioned in opposite corners. Coordinate attacks with your teammate to overwhelm isolated enemies. Central towers are key objectives.


Creating Custom Maps

Want to create your own maps? Use the built-in map editor:

python3 main.py --mode map_editor

Map Requirements

  • Minimum size: 6x6 tiles
  • Each player must have exactly one Headquarters (HQ)
  • All players should have roughly equal access to neutral structures
  • Consider balance when placing terrain features
